Truth in Data, agentically summarized.

Privacy

What we collect, what we don't.

Plain English. Last updated 2026-06-10.

What we collect

  • Account info — your email, name, and (if you enter it) home address. Address is used once to map your federal and state legislators via the Google Civic + OpenStates APIs. We store the resulting district codes; the address itself stays in your profile and is never shared.
  • Your civic activity on the site — your votes on bills, your Town Square posts, your suggestions and bug reports. These are tied to your account so you can see them again.
  • Anonymous traffic data — Cloudflare logs each request (IP, user-agent, URL, timing) for 24 hours to defend against abuse. We don't operate a separate analytics tracker. There's no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no third-party cookies.
  • Sponsor data — if you submit an ad request, we store your company name, contact email, ad copy, and the URL you provided. We don't share this with anyone except our editorial reviewer.

What we don't collect

  • We don't collect anything we don't show you in your profile.
  • We don't sell or share your data with brokers, advertisers, or political-action committees.
  • We don't track you across the web.
  • We don't store payment cards. (When sponsor billing goes live, payments go through Stripe; we never see the card.)

What we use it for

  • Mapping you to your reps so the dashboards work.
  • Computing your alignment with each rep over time.
  • Showing your own votes and comments back to you.
  • Sending you the occasional editorial reply when you submit something through SuggestBox.

Who can see what

  • Your Town Square posts are public, attributed to your chosen handle and state.
  • Your votes (with reasoning) appear in your profile only; they're not public unless you opt in.
  • Your email and address are visible only to you (and to RawBelly staff for support).

Deleting your account

Email hello@rawbelly.ai from the address on file and we'll wipe your row. Public Town Square posts stay (they're part of the historical record) but are reattributed to "deleted user." Your votes and reasoning are deleted in full.

Cookies

We use one cookie: the Clerk session cookie that keeps you signed in. No advertising or analytics cookies.

Children

RawBelly is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we'll remove it.

Changes

If we change this policy meaningfully, we'll email account holders.
